66 -- NAVIGATION EQUIPMENT SOL DACW33-96-R-0009 DUE 060796 POC Julie Mackley, 617-647-8413 The New England Division, Corps of Engineers Intends to Negotiate a Sole Source Contract with Del Norte Technology, Inc., 1100 Pamela Drive, Euless Texas 76039, for the purchase of One Integrated Positioning and Navigation System. The system will be compatible with existing Government-Owned Del Norte Positioning Systems, and shall consist (in part) of the following components: One 1009+/586 GPS, 12 Channel, L1 Receiver, One Reference GPS Antenna, 217E Master Transmitter/Receiver, 360 X 19 Degree Omni Antenna, Four 217E Remote Transmitter/Receivers, Four 100 X 7 Degree Section Antennae, Microsoft MSDOS 6.22, 1009+ Application Software, and Hypack Hydrographic Survey Software. This system will be delivered to the U.S. Engineer Division, New England, Waltham, Massachusetts, 30 calendar days from award. Interested parties having the capability to furnish the above described items should submit their product and price information which shall be considered by the agency. All responses must contain sufficient technical and pricing information to enable evaluation of the capability of the product to meet the requirements of the agency. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. No solicitation document exists and no award will be made on the basis of any response to this advertisement. Interested parties may respond in writing to New England Division, Corps of Engineers, ATTN: Purchase Division, 424 Trapelo Road, Waltham, MA 02254-9149. All responses from responsible sources which are received within 15 days of the date of the publication of this synopsis will be fully considered. As a result of analyzing responses to this synopsis of intent, the contracing officer may determine that a solicitation will be issued. If a solicitation will be issued no additional synopsis will be published. Any such solicitation will be issued to the intended vendor and all firms that respond to this synopsis of intent or otherwise request a copy of the solicitation. (0103)
