70 -- LOTUS SOFTWARE MAINTENANCE SUPPORT POC Catherine Poole (202) 273-2700, Contracting Officer. The Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts intends to enter into a contract with Lotus Development Corporation under the authority of 41 USC 253(c)(1). Only one responsible source, to procure maintenance upgrade/updates and technical support of the following Lotus proprietary software: Locus cc: Mail software for DOS and Windows, Lotus Router and Lotus Organizer. The technical support will include software upgrades and technical assistance for an already installed base of users of the mentioned Lotus products. Lotus Development Corporation is the proprietary owner of the source codes for the subject software packages and thus, is the only source legally authorized to issue upgrades/updates to the software packages. The anticipated period of performance will be for one year, with four one-year options. A solicitation is not available. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. However, all proposals received within fifteen days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
