A -- SYSTEM ENGINEERING AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE FOR THE THEATER HIGH ALTITUDE AREA DEFENSE (THAAD) PROJECT OFFICE CONTRACT SOL DASG60-96-R-0043 POC Larry Ridgeway, Contracting Officer, (205) 955-1187. The planned action is a short-term follow-on to Contract DASG60-93-C-0025 with Coleman Research Corporation until a competitive contract can be awarded pursuant to recently released RFP DASG60-96-R-00019. The government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii), to avoid substantial duplication of cost to the government that is not expected to be recovered through competition and to avoid unacceptable delays in fulfilling the critical THAAD program requirements. The proposed effort results from the need under the THAAD SETA contract for continued support of the project office in accomplishing its mission requirements. This effort is for continuation of systems analysis and engineering services under contract DASG60-93-0025 in support of the THAAD system development. The period of performance for this effort is expected to be 1 Jul 96 through 31 Dec 96. A current SECRET facility and storage clearance will be required for performance.
