OPEN-END TITLE I AND TITLE II SERVICES AT LAJES FIELD, AZORES, PORTUGAL
to include abroad variety of maintenance, repair, alteration, and new
construction projects. Required are field investigations,
recommendations, studies, reports, assessments, cost estimates,
calculations, measurements, metering, testing, inspections,
specifications, (hard and soft copies), product research, digitized
construction drawings, and construction, inspection and supervision
services. These projects will require multi-discipline engineering
services which entail primarily commercial/industrial type facilities
located at Lajes Field, Azores, Portugal. It is anticipated that
expertise will be required in combinations of the following
disciplines: electrical, mechanical, architectural, pavements, roof,
environmental, power engineering, interior design, and site planning.
The A-E may be required to produce designs for asbestos and lead
abatement, contain ment, and remediation. One firm based in
mechanical/electrical will be selected for project number 96-2013, A-E
Open End Services, another based in civil/structural for project
number 96-2014, A-E Open end services, and a third based in
architectural for project number 96-2015, A-E Open End Services. Each
contract will be accomplished by separate delivery order. Total maximum
amount of each contract is limited to $400,000 for the one year basic
contract period and $400,000 for each option year with a minimum of
$5,000 for each contract period. Evaluation factors, listed in order of
importance, are as follows: 1. Demonstrated ability and experience in
performing A-E designs for commercial and industrial type facilities.
2. Professional qualifications of the staff to be assigned to the
project. 3. Past performance of DOD projects. 4. Professional capacity
and resources to accomplish work with accelerated turnarounds. 5.
Volume of DOD projects previously accomplished. 6. Percent of workload
dedicated to Lajes. 7. E-Mail capability and ability to send drawings
via FTP site. 8. Distance of firm from Philadelphia, PA. Only firms
with AUTOCAD Computer Aided Design and Drafting capability will be
considered. Responses must be postmarked within 45 Days of the date of
