Summary Scope of Work includes construction of foundations and below grade structure for four levels of parking and one level of occupied office space as part of a new Government office facility in downtown Washington, DC. The foundation system includes a combination of slurry wall construction and H-pile and lagging construc- tion necessary to support the sides of the required excavation and prevent displacement and/or settlement of surrounding properties and adjacent buildings. The project requires a contractor able to furnish, install, and maintain a watertight slurry wall installation including all embedded items for lateral support of the slurry wall, reinforcing, and structural steel embedded in the wall plus design of a lateral wall bracing system all as necessary for support of excavations and permanent loads of the structure. The slurry wall installer/contractor must be able to submit qualifications verifying and documenting 5 years of experience in successfully performing and completing work comparable to this project.
