The Human Systems Center Contracting Division intends to issue a sole source contract to the University of Pittsburgh, Learning Research and Development Center for pre-operational software support services in support of the Maintenance Skills Tutor (MST), F-15 C & A-Shop tutors. This six month pre-operational support is intended to support the MST program during the initial testing and fielding of the F-15 C & A-Shop avionics tutor. This project will require response to discrepancies developed by and/or documented by the Program Office. Using baseline documentation and tutor courseware, the discrepancies will be analyzed, software/hardware/documentation modifications will be initiated, and the tutor will be upgraded to eliminate the identified problem(s). Familiarization training will need to be provided to government personnel on the use, functionality, support and maintenance of the tutor. LRDC has aircraft avionics domain knowledge, design, development and Smalltalk source code experience on the interactive F-15 A & C-Shop tutors. These tutors are designed to improve the cognitive troubleshooting skills of novice to expert F-15 avionics maintenance technicians without the risks associated with hands-on aircraft maintenance.
