Building shell construction includes: Job cast tilt-up concrete panels (painted), steel frame and steel joist with painted steel frame and steel joist with painted steel deck, R-30 roof insulation, R-13 wall insulation, modified bitumen roof system, fixed insulated glazing and store front entrance, receiving dock (50'' and 27'') with mechanical dock levelers, hydraulic scissors lift, covered canopy with modified bitumen roof. The building includes covered metal canopies for carrier trucks. Project site includes concrete paving, storm water system with detention on site, site lighting, lime stabilization, ornamental and chain link fencing, irrigation and landscaping, public utility connection, directional signage and flagpole. The site is located at the intersection of Rice Avenue and Sage Road in Houston. Estimated cost range $1,100,000 - $1,175,000 and construction time is 300 calendar days. Successful offeror must submit their Subcontracting Plan for Small and Minority-Owned and Woman-Owned Business initially and thereafter with their progress payment requests. The contractor must subcontract with minority business firms in an amount aggregating not less than 10% of the total value of its subcontracts. A 20% proposal bond is required on all proposals. The successful contractor will be required to provide 100% Performance and 50% Payment Bonds. Offers will be received in this office, prior to, but not later than 3:30 pm on May 16, 1996. Proposal documents, plans and specifications will be available on April 16, 1996 at a cost of $75.00 per set (NON-REFUNDABLE) payable by check or money order only. The number of offers received, the identity of the offerors, the amount of any one offer, or relative standing of offeror will not be disclosed to anyone until after award of a contract is made and the request is submitted in writing.
