This Solicitation will be for the procurement of a 100/50-Ton Overhead Electric Traveling (OET) crane for Machine Shop Building 171. Building 171 is located at Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth, Virginia. The crane is to be designed, manufactured, shop-assembled, delivered, installed and tested by the contractor in accordance with the requirements of the specification. The crane shall be a double-box girder, overrunning type with two trolley-mounted hoists, operating from a 250 VDC system. This solicitation will be distributed on 3.5 inch discs in MICROSOFT WORD and EXCEL on or about May 15, 1996. All firms responding will be required to print and return Section K and various attachments along with their proposals. This procurement will be a Request For Proposal.
