Firms are being sought for the purchase of a central maintenance agreement for 261 Pitney Bowes mailing machines, 338 Pitney Bowes electronic mailing scales, 2 Pitney Bowes mail and shipping systems and 4 Pitney Bowes Paragon Mail Processors. The central maintenance agreement applies to all hardware and software, all replacement parts, labor and temporary replacement of equipment in case of equipment failure. A central ''Softguard'' agreement for 338 Pitney Bowes electronic mailing scales. The Softguard agreement will provide the Coast Guard with a central software protection plan (Programmable Read Only Memory (PROM)/Disk replacement) for up to six (6) postage rate and/or ZIP Code changes occurring during a one year period. The period of performance is one year and two one-year option periods. Vendors should provide proof of their capability to maintain named equipment and any previous history in providing this service. This is a request for information only and will be used to determine whether market conditions warrant the release of full and open competition. There is no solicitation available at this time. No contract will be awarded as a result of this Request for Information.
