Peterson, Contracting Officer, 202-267-2525 This specifies the requirements for providing Federal Information Processing Support (FIPS) services to operate and maintain the existing Aviation Computerized Maintenance System and Aviation Maintenance Management Information System (AMMIS) and to integrate the ACMS and AMMIS into the Aviation Logistics Management Information System (ALMIS). Proposals will only be solicited from eligible 8(a) firms and the proposed acquisition will be conducted on a competitive basis. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) code is 7371. Interested 8(a) firms are encouraged to request a copy of the solicitation as expeditiously as possible since the solicitation will be issued without further notice. This acquisition will consist of a base period of one year with four 1-year option periods. Services anticipated to be required include operation of computer hardware and telecommunications equipment; program management; system requirements analysis; system design and development; system integration and installation; documentation; software maintenance; technical support; telecommunication and network planning, implementation and management; disaster response and recovery planning; and integration of the ACMS and AMMIS into the ALMIS architecture. Sources that have responded based on the information released in the USCG's annual forecast to industry and the U. S. Small Business Administration bulletin dated February 6, 1996 need not respond again. A copy of the solicitation will be provided.
