The Naval Sea Systems Command intends to acquire Cooperative Engagement Capability (CEC) supplies and services in support of the CEC program encompassing existing assets for IOC, Common Equipment Sets, auxiliary equipment, stand-alone equipment, and any improvements thereto. The supplies and services include: engineering and technical services, systems engineering, design and development support, test equipment support, test event support, program documentation, design studies, technical feasibility evaluations, training, spare and repair parts, component parts, overhaul, repair and upgrade services, line replaceable units, assemblies, subassemblies, weapons replaceable assemblies, shop replaceable assemblies, stand-alone and auxiliary equipment. These efforts will support the decision to proceed with Low Rate Initial Production (LRIP) of Cooperative Engagement Capability (CEC) Common Equipment Set Units. E-Systems, Inc. of St. Petersburg, Fl is the only source with the detailed familiarity with the design and related specifications and other requisite CEC knowledge and experience to support the accelerated program schedule for reaching an LRIP decision in 1997. This is a very tight schedule required to comply with DOD direction to field CEC in the fleet as early as possible. E-Systems is the sole developer and equipment manufacturer of the CEC system.
