EXPERT WITNESS - The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has a requirement for individuals with experience in authenticating forensic audio/video recordings, conducting sophisticated forensic examinations of audio/video investigative recordings, providing expert testimony in court regarding such recordings, providing consultation and supportive research and assist in the training of new forensic examiners. As a minimum an individual must: 1. Either possess or be able to acquire an FBI Secret level security clearance; 2. Must be able to work at the FBI Engineering Research Facility, Quantico, Virginia, and/or at the individual's residence using government furnished equipment; 3. Possess at least a Bachelor of Science, or higher, degree in physics, electrical/electronic engineering, computer science, or a related field, or a Masters, or higher, degree in another science area with at least 30 semester hours in mathematics, physics, electronics, speech science, and related subjects; 4. Possess at least five (5) years experience in a law enforcement laboratory in the tape enhancement field; 5. Have conducted forensic examinations and provided expert testimony in court that meets the highest standards of the appropriate scientific disciplines and professional societies.
