Jefferies, Contracting Officer, (615)454-7841 This project involves the removal of asbestos and lead-contaminated materials in approximately 5,6000 square feet of office space and the renovation of approximately 4,400 square feet of administrative and operational work space at the Fire, Police and Communications Building (Bldg 251) at Arnold Air Force Base (Arnold Engineering Development Center), Tennessee. Renovation work includes replacement of an HVAC system, a new concrete interior stairway, interior walls, doors, suspended ceiling system, floor finishes, casework, lighting, power receptacles, painting, a unit kitchen and plumbing. The project also includes additive alternates for a fire alarm detection system and Category 5 cabling. The first floor work area and the emergency power function in the basement shall be fully operational during the performance of the contract. Estimated order of magnitude is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The performance period shall be 240 calendar days following receipt of a Notice to Proceed. Any responsible firm may submit a bid which shall be considered. Foreign participation is authorized.
