DAILY NOTICE PUBLISHED APRIL 16, 1996. The Electronic Combat
Development Systems Manager (ASC/LN) is seeking sources to produce
AN/ALE-50V Electronic Countermeasures (ECM) systems and associated
Advanced Airborne Expendable Decoy (AAED) decoy rounds. Initial
procurement will be for up to 490 AN/ALE-50V(2) F-16 systems. The basic
and option quantities for the AAED rounds total up to 6000 for
platforms meeting Milestone III requirements. The F-16 AN/ALE-50V(2) is
a platform specific application of the generic AN/ALE-50V Towed Decoy
System. Options for other potential platforms will be included in any
contract resulting from this sources sought announcement. The
Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) phases of the F-16
AN/ALE-50V(2), contracted with Lockheed, Fort Worth and AAED,
contracted with E-Systems Goleta Division (ESGD), Goleta, CA, are
nearly concluded. Reprocurement data is not available at this time for
any of the AN/ALE-50V versions, subsystems or components. It is
anticipated that a one year production contract with annual options
will be awarded in late CY 96 with the first deliveries in late CY 97
or early CY 98 in order to meet aircraft capabilities requirements. All
components and subsystems of the system must be delivered concurrently
for full system capability with the exception of the AAED decoy
rounds. Platform system and AAED decoy round descriptions are available
