70 -- REPLICATION OF CD-ROM MASTERS SOL 5-71544/985 POC Ms. Lavern Harris, Purchasing Agent, 301-286-8438. In support of the Goddard Distributed Active Archive Facility, NASA/GSFC intends to enter into a sole source purchase order to Sony Disc Manufacturing of Terre Haute, IN. This acquisition, 5-71544/985, is for the replication of 50,000 CD-Rom masters (10,000 copies from each master with 10-day turnaround); 10,000 each production of CD-Rom booklet for master with full color cover, four color pages, and 16 black and white pages; 10,000 each production of front and back inlay in full color for 10,000 CD replicates from the master; 10,000 each packaging services for 6-disk brilliant boxes, shrink wrap, booklet stuffing and front and back inlay insertion; one set of 2-color artwork for printing on 50,000 CD discs; and 10,000 CD discs for a period of one year. Sony Disc Manufacturing originally produced the CD-Rom set, thus, has the glass master discs, all original artwork and master copies of all supporting documentation. Sony is intimately familiar with this particular product.
