Officer, at (404) 347-3178. Request for proposals for the continued
operation of the Jacksonville Job Corps Center located in Jacksonville,
Florida will be available approximately May 8, 1996, for issue in
response to written request. It is anticipated that the resultant
contract will cover the period February 1, 1997 through January 31,
1999, plus 3 governmental unilateral renewal options of one year. The
approximate average capacity strength is 250 students (75 residential
males, 75 residential females, and 100 non-residential students of
which 50 are males and 50 females). Contractor will provide direct
outreach/admission/placement services for a total of 175 students. A
Pre-Proposal Conference for the Job Corps Center will be convened at
Jacksonville Job Corps Center. There will be a tour of the facility at
Jacksonville Job Corps Center at 9:00 a.m., local time on May 16,
1996. The contractor shall provide Academic and Vocational Training,
operate a Counseling and Residential Living Program, and operate the
following support services: Health Services, Processing of Student and
Legal Services. The contractor will also profile overall Center
Management and Administration as follows: Contract and Personnel
Administration, Staff Training, Financial Management, Procurement and
Property Management, Facility Operations and Maintenance, Security and
Safety Services, Community Relations and Public Information. All
questions prior to the Pre-Proposal Conference should be submitted in
writing. Requests for this solicitation should include (2)
self-addressed mailing labels. Proposals in response to this RFP will
be due no later than 4:00 p.m., local time on July 16, 1996 at the
address listed above. Duval County is not classified as a labor surplus
area by the U.S. Department of Labor. All responsible sources may
