R -- SIMULATION MODELING OF AUTOMATED INFORMATION NETWORKS SOL DASW01-96-R-0065 POC Contact Christina Bolar, Contract Specialist at 703-614-6609 (phone)/ 703-697-9440 (fax) or Kathy Dobeck, Contracting Officer at 703-695-2562 DSS-W, on behalf of the Program Analysis and Evaluation (PA&E) office, intends to award a competitive contract for contractor support in using network simulation models to study proposed DoD Automated Information Networks. The contractor is expected to combine network engineering expertise with experience in the use of computer aided design and analysis tools to simulate the performance of automated information networks. Contractor tasks may include the following: evaluate capacity and design of networks using commercial off the shelf (COTS) packages; construct simulation models; investigate performance of various network topologies; provide training to Government during the accomplishment of each task; explore performance of alternative client-server architecture operations. The resulting contract will be for approximately 1 year and 6 months. Cost-Plus-Fixed-Fee type contract may be awarded. RFP NO. DASW01-96-R-0065 will be available around 1 May 1996. This is a 100% Small Business Set- Aside requirement. The SIC is 7379 and the size standard is $18.0 million. Proposals that endorse proprietary models of the bidder will not be selected.
