66 -- FURNISH AND INSTALL UPGRADE TO EXISTING EMI/EMS TEST SYSTEM SOL DABT01-96-R-0005 DUE 071596 POC Contract Specialist MARTHA DIXON (334) 255-2389 (Site Code DABT01) Notice is given of the intent to negotiate a sole source acquisition with ElectroMetrics, Inc., 231 Enterprise Road, Johnstown Industrial Park, Johnstown, NY 12095, to upgrade a Government-owned, custom-designed, computer-controlled, Electromagnetic Interference/Electromagnetic Susceptibility (EMI/EMS) Test System. The current EMI/EMS Test System, utilized by the U.S. Army Aviation Research Laboratory, is capable of performing MIL-STD-461C level Electromagnetic Characteristics testing. To comply with current testing requirements from the Aviation Troop Command and customers for the Army's Medical Evacuation rotary wing environment, a system upgrade to MIL-STD-461D is required. The original manufacturer is required to perform the system hardware, software, and integration upgrade as the custom-designed EMI/EMS Test System contains components of hardware and software that are proprietary products of ElectroMertics, Inc. Any technology other than that provided by ElectroMetrics, will not interface with the existing test system. Quantity of 1 each system upgrade.
