The In-situ particle size analyzer will consist of four main pieces; the field unit, the probe assembly, the cable connecting them and the software. The system will be able to measure particles between 1 and 1000 micrometers while suspended in no. 2 fuel oil, acetone and toluene. The field unit is the processing controller for the system and will come in a Nema 4X stainless steel enclosure. The unit will have inputs for compressed air (60 psi) and electricity (110VAC, 3 Phase, 60Hz or 220 VAC, 3 Phase, 60 Hz). The cable will be 33 feet long and contain a compressed air line and fiber optics cable(s) for the transfer of light and air. The probe will be intrinsically safe and made of stainless steel. Software will be supplied, and I/O board if other than standard RS422, to allow control, particle size distribution data display. See notes 22.
