The Department of Transportation has a requirement for technical and program support for Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) program assessment, including evaluation of ITS initiatives. This is a task order type effort. Multiple awards are possible. Activities will fall within five task areas: perform field evaluations, collect and analyze ITS effectiveness and benefits data, collect and analyze ITS program and deployment data, collect and analyze ITS cost and economic data, and synthesize data to support program assessment. The contractor(s) shall analyze technical and programmatic issues and provide suggestions, recommendations, and support to the government. This effort may also involve developing and applying simulation modeling and other mathematical and statistical analysis techniques. Areas of assessment may include field test evaluations spanning field operational tests, model deployments, showcases, commercial vehicle information systems and networks (CVISN), and reporting of progress in meeting ITS deployment goals such as US DOT's Operation Time Saver.
