An emerging small business is one whose average annual receipts for the past 3 years did not exceed 2.5 million dollars. SIC 8712. Services will include site investigation, preliminary design, final design, 30 sets of drawings, specifications, cost estimate, and construction period services. Drawings are to be done on CAD compatible with AutoCad Version 13. Scope of work is as follows: Phase I: Perform a detailed engineering study and life cycle cost analysis to determine if existing Centrifugal Chillers (3-500 ton R-11 units should be replaced or retrofit. Phase II: Provide preliminary design, final design, drawing reproduction and construction period service to either replace or retrofit chillers. For new chillers, the intent is to acquire energy efficient chillers which will be less environmentally adverse {electric driven HCF/HCFC refrigerant or absorption (gas or steam) chillers may be acceptable. No CFCs}. Scope of work includes the separation of chiller and boiler plants to meet all requirements of the Uniform Mechanical Code. Estimated construction cost is $500,000 - $1,000,000. Selection and award is subject to the availability of FY96 funding.
