Under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1), FAR 6.302-1, the National Institutes of Health (NCI) intends to procure LAN development-management and software maintenance agreement for customized dBase laboratory management system from Advanced Medical Services Consultants (AMSC), P.O. Box 3425, Fairfax, VA, 22038. The contractor shall continue servicing the LHC LBMGR systems, designed and developed for LHC research program. The services required consist of designing and establishing LAN server software to intercommunicate 9 research data management systems for reports and analyses, systems maintenance and minor programming revisions. In order to be considered, the individual assigned to this project must be trained and experienced in computer and biological development. A background in networking (hardware and software), multiple platforms (DOS, WFW, Win95, WinNT), and dBase and their use in a biological research environment is absolutely necessary. It is the Government's belief that these requirements can only be met by Advanced Medical Services Consultants. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals, however, if an interested party believes they can meet the above specifications, they must submit their capabilities, and furnish concise responses directed specifically to the requirements mentioned above. Sources demonstrating the capability to accomplish the above shall supply pertinent information in sufficient detail to demonstrate their ability to perform. Information furnished must be received by May 14, 1996, and shall include enough material to perform a proper evaluation. Respondents will not be notified of the evaluation results.
