POC Frank Moretti, Contract Negotiator, (215)697-9611. The Fleet &
Industrial Supply Center Norfolk Detachment Philadelphia intends to
procure Contractor Engineering Technical Services (CETS) in support of
the following Aircraft, Aircraft Weapons Systems, Airframes Associated
Equipment and other Equipment as follows: H-46 Series Helicopters and
Associated Equipment. The proposed procurement is for 168 man months of
services as currently estimated by the Naval Aviation Engineering
Service Unit (NAESU), Philadelphia. The proposed effort will commence
1 Jan 97 and end on 31 Dec 97 with one, twelve (12) month option period
extending performance to 31 Dec 98. This effort will be covered by a
new contract and/or existing contract. This solicitation will contain
specifications for Contractor Field Service representatives and other
representatives (i.e. AFR, LSR) as appropriate. The place of
performance is various Fleet and Shore Activities and will be specified
in the forthcoming Request-For-Quotation. The eventful contract action
is for services which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate
with Boeing Defense and Space Group, Helicopter Division under the
authority of FAR 6.302.1. Boeing is the only provider of the services.
This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals.
Interested parties may identify their interests and technical
capability to respond to this requirement. Interested parties who
contend they are technically qualified should submit, within forty-five
(45) days from publication of this notice, specific factual data,
including but not limited to: technical resumes, corporate management,
corporate experience, and other pertinent information as so desired,
to be used as an evaluation basis to determine competence to
successfully perform the required services. All technical proposals
received within the 45 day notice will considered by the Government.
The Government reserves the right not to open this requirement to
competition based upon technical responses to this notice. Technical
responses and requests received as a result of this notice of intent
will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining
whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Government will not
pay for information received. All responses should be directed to FISC
