The following item is to be used as integrated logistics support associated with the F/A-18D aircraft: one each A/E27M-9 Hydraulic Tube Bending Machine, P/N (47315) 1735AS100-1. This acquisition is for supplies for which the Government does not own specifications or drawings to permit full and open competition. The Government intends to procure this item under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented by 6.302-1. Pines Manufacturing, Inc., of Westlake, Ohio, as the designer, developer and sole manufacturer of the item to be acquired, is the only known source with the knowledge, experience and technical data necessary for the manufacturer and the design/application requirements of the equipment involved. Firms that recognize and produce the required items are encoouraged to identify themselves. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which may be considered by the Government in determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
