C -- PHASE 2 OF THE U.S. ARMY STAND ALONE EDDY CURRENT INSPECTION SYSTEM PROGRAM WHICH IS A CONTINUATION OF THE PHASE 1 RT SOL DAAJ09-96-R-0427 DUE 062796 POC Naomi Brown, Contract Specialist, (314) 263-0660, or Janet Bouffard, Contracting Officer, (314) 263-3578, ATTN: AMSAT-A-PLCB. The U.S. Army Aviation and Troop Command proposes to acquire, on a sole source basis, the development of the engine specific hardware and software that will be integrated with the SRL Eddy Current Inspection System Version 3 (ECIS V3) to enable the reliable inspection of T700-GE-700 engine components. The period of performance is anticipated to be twelve months. The Government anticipates awarding a sole source contract, under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(C)(1), to Systems Research Laboratory, Inc.(SRL), 2800 Indian Ripple Road, Dayton, OH 45440. SRL was the original source for the Phase 1 effort and is the only source with the unique capabilities required to complete the Phase 2 effort. The Government's minimum need can only be satisfied within the required time frame by SRL. There is no other source that can qualify, or has the necessary expertise and experience to deliver the software and equipment necessary for Automated Eddy Current inspections including training and on-going spares/maintenance support.
