D -- CREATION OF DIGITIZED DATA SOL RFIDMA0003 DUE 050396 POC Mr. Greg Brouk or Ms. Antoinette Hamel This Request For Information (RFI) is to determine the level of interest in the creation of digitized data to be used for the production of Compressed Aeronautical Charts (CAC). CAC data are designed to provide support and computer readable digital images of hard-copy graphic products for naval mission planning systems and digital moving map systems. Production capabilities must include the ability to load, transform and compress Arc Digitized Raster Graphic CD-ROMs of NavPlan charts into the format described in Military Specification The Navy Standard Compressed Aeronautical Chart (CAC) Database SP 024:351:91, August 1991. In addition to the operations mentioned above, interested parties would be responsible for providing the jewel case liners and information booklets for each CAC dataset. Jewel case liners and information booklets must conform to Defense Mapping Agency Technical Instructions and Quality Requirements for Printing and Finishing of Jewel Case Liners and Information Booklets (Inserts) for Mapping, Charting, Geodetic (MC&G) Compact Disc Storage Media, DMA TI/2DJ/001.
