The Aeronautical Systems Center plans to contract sole source with RJO Enterprise Inc. (F33657-91-D-2258), Systems Engineering Management Co. (F33657-91-D-2259) and Technology Applications Inc. (F33657-91-D-2260) individually to extend vital on going Acquisition Logistics Support contracts at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, OH from 7 Sep 96 until 7 Mar 97. The three contracts will only be used to fulfill needs during the extension period in the event new contracts are not awarded or otherwise not available. This is not a request for proposal. This specialized effort includes all areas of acquisition logistics functional manpower support with the major areas being logistics studies, resources requirements analyses (manpower, spares, etc.), readiness assessments, cost analyses (including trade studies), and comparative logistics/cost trade-offs of specific problems or areas of emphasis. As a follow-on to this requirement we anticipate awarding up to three five-year contracts: two 8(a) firms and one to a small business. Proposal for these follow-on contracts have been received and source selection procedures are underway, with contract award currently anticipated on or near 28 Aug 96. As previously stated, extension of these three contracts is only to insure continued coverage of these services in the event the new contracts are not awarded or they are otherwise not available.
