The following information is provided to do a market survey of industry to see if there are any potential contractors in addition to FlightSafety Services Corporation who have the skills and knowledge required to accomplish: continuation of on-site Contractor Logistics Support (CLS), courseware development and improvement, running a Training System Support Center (TSSC) and a Training Management System (TMS), all ground based aircrew training for the KC-135 Aircrew Training System (ATS). The ATS is comprised of 19 simulator sites, which include Kadena, Japan and a potential site in the UK. It also includes computer based training at 48 sites. Aircrew positions trained include pilots, navigators and boom operators. Training devises include flight simulators, a Boom Operator Part Task Trainer (BOPTT), Table Top Navigation Rendezvous Trainer (TTNRT) and computers. Future improvements to the system are expected to include installation of 6 degree-of-freedom motion bases and installation of upgraded visual systems. The acquisition, if it occurs, will include a base year and 4 option years and will be subject to the Service Contract Act and wage determinations. Any sources interested in this synopsis shall describe their qualifications in the following areas: 1. Current and past experience on training devices addressed above and it's relevance to the subject acquisition. 2. Personnel Experience/Qualifications in the areas of management, modification, maintenance, aircrew instruction, technical and engineering support of a large flight simulator operation and a TSSC. 3. Corporate experience managing systems similar to those described above.
