work includes construction of a new two-story physical fitness
facility, adjacent parking lot, landscaping and incidental related work
complete and ready for use.--The estimated cost is between $1,000,000
and $5,000,000.--Firm Fixed Price Contract.--Contract duration is 300
calendar days.--Bids will be considered from all responsible
sources.--This project is unrestricted.--The Standard Industrial Code
is 1542 and the annual size standard is $17 million.--It is recommended
the subcontracting plan goals reflect a minimum goal of 5% for Small
Disadvantaged Business subcontracting effort.--NOTE: Plans and specs
will not be mailed to firms within a 20 mile radius of the issuing
office.--A fee will be charged for all plans and specs. Each set will
cost $44.43. Mail requests to Southwest Division, Naval Facilities
Engineering Command (Plan Issue), 1220 Pacific Highway, Bldg. 132, San
Diego, CA 92132-5187, with a check payable to DEFENSE PRINTING
SERVICE. You may fax your requests to (619) 532-2083; however, requests
will not be processed until your check has been received by this
office. Fees are not refundable. Solicitation packages may be acquired
in person from Plan Issue.--Telephone requests will not be
accepted.--Requests for the solicitation package must be in writing
stating solicitation number N68711-95-B-7589, complete name, address,
area code and phone number and whether bidding as a
prime/subcontractor/supplier.--Plan holders lists will not be
faxed.--Plans and specifications will be available on or about 02 May
