C-5 Aircraft Defensive System This acquisition will consist of filibrution of 61 Group A kits and installation of Group A and B kits on 67 aircraft. All Group B kits and 5 Ea. Group A kits will be government furnished. (All quantities are estimated) Estimated Schedule is as follows: Base Year(FY 96) - Kit proof Installation 2nd Year(FY 97) thru (FY 01): Approximately 14 AIRCRAFT per year. Contractor Requirements: 1) Contractor facility must be albe to accomodate up to two C-5 Aircraft simultaneously including defueling & purged if facility requires. Contractor must have classified storage capability. 2) Runways must be available for moving C-5 aircraft in and out of the installation facility. 3) Installation support facilities must be available to perform sheet metal, fiberglass and C-5 aircraft ground handling tasks.
