This notice is to cancel CBD notice published in the CBD on Wednesday March 20, 1996, (Issue No. PSA 1555, Page 7) soliciting a fulfillment Mailing Services contractor. This cancellation is to advise interested parties that this requirement is being set-aside for competitive procurement from Small Disadvantaged Businesses certified under the US Small Business Administration 8(a) program. The SIC code is 8744. Proposals will be accepted only from certified 8(a) firms. The majority of all the letters (approximately 250,000 letters per year) requested by PBGC will be supported by this procurement. (NOTE: The 250,000 estimated letters per year for the next five years is the current best estimate, but the actual number of letters could be as low as 100,000). Those 8(a) firms requesting the solicitation as a result of the synopsis published on March 20th, will be solicited.
