The US Geological Survey, Western Mapping Center, Menlo Park CA has a requirement for (1) halftones from Government-furnished digital orthophotography quadrangles (DOQ) binary data files, and (2) lithographic line work for hard-copy plots of latitude-longitude gradicules from Postscript data files. Responsible sources will have electronic film writing capability to plot halftones at screen ruling of 150 lines per mm square dot, minimum film size 24 x 30 in, maximum size 30 x 30 in, 2000 dpi resolution. Deliverables will be printed on graphic arts type film. A 3 year indefinite quantity indefinite delivery (IDIQ) type contract is expected. Award by line item will be considered but a single award will be preferred. More detailed specifications will be provided in the RFP, which interested parties should request in writing within 15 days of publication of this announcement. Samples may be requested.
