Z -- REPAIR OF SITE STEAM DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM SOL IFB5-51178/117 DUE 061596 POC Katherine T. Seminara, Code 212, (301)286-7985/Bernard J. Pagliaro. This project consists of replacement of underground steam, condensate and high pressure return lines at various locations throughout the Goddard Space Flight Center. The new system shall be a federally preapproved underground heat distribution system. Work includes, but is not limited to, trenchinge, sediment and erosion control, installation of underground piping, protection of existing utilities, backfill activities, repair of disturbed surfaces, i.e. parking lots, roadways, sidewalks, etc., connection of new piping to existing piping in manholes (MH), existing MH roofs and the installation of a new MH. The project consists of a Base Bid and one Additive Bid Item. The Base Bid incudes all work associated with the steam and condensate lines from steam MH 15 to Building 24, the new MH at Building 4, the steam and condensate lines to Building 4 and the high pressure drip line from the new MH to Building 24. Additive item one includes all work associated with the installation of the steam and condsate lines from MH 2 to MH 3, and the new valve in MH1. The magnitude of this project is $500,000 to $1,000,000. The bid date will be established when the IFB is issued. All bidders shall request the soliciation in writing.
