The Air Force Flight Test Center at Edwards AFB CA has a requirement for a Camera System that includes; one each camera S-20, 8mm dia, photocathode with MGF2 Faceplate, one each slow sweep plug-in 10as - 1ms/sweep, 100 ps resolution, one each input optics 200 to 1600nm 1:1 magnification F5.0; one each output optices, 50mm:105mm 1:2 mag and one each film back F-Mount film type: self developing print. System must provide photographic output of low level incident light input and include the capability of acquiring both streak (1 spatial and 1 temporal dimension) and single frame (2 dimensional spatial) images. System must provide input optics with precision adjustable slit widths (better than 10 micrometer accuracy). System must include a streak tube with a light gain in excess of 2500. The sweep tube spectral response must include the range from 200 to 800 nanometers; an S-20 photocathode with MgF2 faceplate is anticipated, a Micro Channel Plate (MCP) with a minimum gate extinction of 1:1000, a phosphor screen output with screen dimensions in excess of 10 millimeters by 10 millimeters. System must be capable of providing variable sweep times from as low as 10 nanosonds to greater than 100 microseconds, and modularity upgradeable to sweep times less than 1 nanosecond, a sweep repetition rate of at least of 1000 per second. System must include output optics with a 1 to 2 magnification for transferring the phosphor screen image to the film camera. System must be modularity upgradeable to a Charged Coupled Device (CCD) camera output. The procudure to be used in awarding this contract is written quotation and the anticipated award date is 13 May 95.
