99 -- BRONZE GRAVE MARKER SPECIFICATIONS DUE 050896 POC Contact Point, W.SIMPSON,CONTRACTING OFFICER, (202)273-5237 Approximately 150,000 flat bronze grave markers and bronze niche markers are acquired by the National Cemetery System annually. The specifications used to acquire and manufacture these markers is presently undergoing review in order to bring VA specifications more in line with similar, connercial items available on the open market. The National Cemetery System seeks to identify established bronze grave marker manufacturers with the capability of manufacturing at least 2,000 flat bronze markers per month, for the purpose of soliciting their technical comments and recommendations in developing revised bronze grave and niche marker specifications to conform current commercial practices and trends in the industry.
