(202) 634-4525. The U.S. Department of Energy anticipates issuance of
a competitive solicitation (Invitation for Bids) for both Paging
Services and Hardware, through a leasing arrangement, for DOE
Nationwide personnel. The requirement includes Numeric and
Alpha-Numeric paging capability via a leasing arrangement, and
replacement units for a period not to exceed two (2) years. DOE
anticipates award of an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ)
Contract. The contractor will provide: (a) DOE nationwide Numeric
Paging Services for a minimum of 700 users and a maximum of 4,000
users; (b) DOE nationwide Alpha-Numeric Paging Services for a minimum
of 50 users and a mzximum of 1,000 users; (c) DOE Local (Washington,
D.C. metropolitan area) Paging Services for a minimum of 10 users and
a maximum of 1,000 users; (d) DOE numeric pager replacements for a
minimum of 15 units and a maximum of 30 units; (e) DOE Alpha-Numeric
replacements for a minimum of 5 units and a maximum of 10 units. All
Pagers must have the following capibilities: time of day, message
locking. low battery indicator, silent and beep mode, memory capacity
of sixteen (16) messages, voice retrieving for pagers outside the
service areas, a minimum of sixteen (16) number slots, pager time
stamping, page recall, and personal toll-free access. The solicitation
will become available in approximately 30 days for downloading from
the DOE Business Center on the FedWorld Bulletin Board. The FedWorld
Bulletin Board number is 703-321-3339 (accessible via the ''Business,
Trade, and Labor Mall''). The solicitation will also be available
through the Internet on the ''Doing business with DOE'', home page via
the Business Communications Center ''Access to the FedWorld Library of

Technical assitance is available from FedWorld Help Desk at
703-487-4608. Prospective offerors who do not have electronic means for
obtaining or downloading the solicitation through the FedWorld/Internet
system may submit a written request to the Contracting Officer for a
copy of the solicitation to be downloaded onto a MS-DOS formatted high
density 3-1/2'' diskette provided by the requester. The requester must
include a self-addressed stamped envelope suitable for the return of
the diskette. No paper copies of the solicitation will be provided. All
offerors interested in being notified when the actual solicitation and
related amendments are released, should notify Jody Naleppa at the
above telephone number. Such notification must include your name,
company address, E-Mail address (preferred) or fax number and the
desired solicitation number. The Contract Specialist will transmit
messages via E-Mail or fax when the solicitation is released.
Notification of amendments will only be to those offerors that submit
an intent to submit an offor. Without such notification, prospective
offerors may not be informed when amendments and other solicitation
related information is posted to the FedWorld/Internet system. This
