COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF APRIL 26,1996 PSA#1582THE WORLD CONGRESS ON RAILWAY RESEARCH (WCRR) CONFERENCE 1996: ``A TIME
FOR PARTNERSHIPS'' IS BEING HELD JUNE 17-19, 1996 IN COLORADO SPRINGS,
COLORADO USA Contact Ed Walsh, Contracts Manager, 719-584-0534, Fax
719-584-0711. The Conference offers a unique forum to reach one of the
railway industry's most select and influential audiences on an
international level. North American host organizations and WCRR
organizing sponsors are: Association of American Railroads (AAR),
Amtrak, Federal Railroad Administration (FRA), Transportation Research
Board (TRB), Railway Technical Research Institute, Japan (RTRI), Union
Internationale des Chemins de fer (UIC), British Rail Research (BRR),
Deutsche Bahn AG (DBAG), Ferrovie dello Stato S.p.A. (FS), and Societe
Nationale des Chemins de Fer Francais (SNCF). The WCRR Conference 1996
is designed to advance the research partnerships established at the
railway research conferences held in Tokyo in 1992 and Paris in 1994,
and to set the course for future collaboration. Part of the Conference
involves a field trip and VIP technical tour on June 18th to the U.S.
Department of Transportation, FRA's Transportation Technology Center
(TTC), Pueblo, Colorado, which will be celebrating its 25th anniversary
on June 16th, under the care, custody and control of the AAR. As such,
the AAR is inviting potential exhibitors to be a part of this unique
gathering of railway industry's technical decision makers, research
managers and technologists. The gathering of three to four hundred of
the world's premier railway research minds to discuss, plan, and shape
the future of world-wide railway Research & Development offers an
unparalleled opportunity to network, make contacts and establish
cooperative partnerships that could unite your organization's efforts
with others who share the same goals. The increasingly complex
multi-disciplinary approaches needed to continually improve railway
safety, customer service, high-speed transportation and productivity
requires the best of thoughts, materials and processes melded together
in a cooperative effort. As an exhibitor, you will be assured of an
excellent opportunity to promote your product or service line, and
receive full recognition of your commitment to support the goals of the
WCRR. Both booth display areas and actual track sections are available
at TTC. For information on exhibiting/attending seminars, please
contact the AAR at 719-584-0501, Fax 719-584-0767 or e-mail us at
