ACQUISITION REFORM INDUSTRY ROADSHOW FOR SMALLER BUSINESSES: PITTSBURGH, PA, 14-15 MAY 1996 The office of the Assistant Secretary of the Navy (Research, Development and Acquisition) is sponsoring a series of RoadShow, two of which will be held in the following locations: 14-15 May 96, Pittsburgh Hilton (Pittsburgh), and 4-5 June 96, The Executive Hotel and Conference Center (Seattle, WA). These events offer smaller business (subcontractors and suppliers) an opportunity to learn how acquisition reform affects the way they do business with the Department of the Navy. The RoadShow will provide information on acquisition reform goals; how acquisition reform is changing; and provide instruction to participants on relevant DoD topics such as: Electronic Commerce, DoN Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization: How to do business with the Navy, Past Performance, Performance Specifications and Standards, Performance-Based Statements of Work, Defense Acquisition Deskbook, FASA, and much more. Navy acquisition personnel and Acquisition Reform leaders will also be present to help provide a setting where government and industry representatives may participate in discussions and network with regard to the implementation of acquisition reform.
