Y -- WATER WELL DRILLING SOL SOL R6-6-96-033 DUE 060396 POC Contracting Section, 503/666-0621 Project consists of the drilling of a 220-foot long horizontal water well. A 6-inch air rotary drilled hole will enlarge an existing 4-inch diameter, 200 foot long horizontal hole containing a 1-1/2-inch diameter PVC pipe which must be removed. The surface of the hole is approximately 3 feet up the backslope af an existing 20'x20' drilling pad. The well installation will consist of a 4-inch diameter plastic casing with 50 feet of slotted well screen at the end, grouted in place to a depth of 150 feet, with a 6-inch diameter grouted steel casing enshrouding the 4-inch plastic casing fro 20 feet at the surface. Also included is the construction of a 3'x5'x1' concrete bulkhead and installation of 6-inch gate valve onto the steel casing. DRILLING CONTRACTOR MUST BE LICENSED WATER WELL CONTRACTOR IN THE STATE OF OREGON AND MUST COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE OREGON WATER RESOURCES DEPARTMENT. Contractor must show prior experience in construction of horizontal wells. Recommended contract time is 20 calendar days. Desired Date for Start Work is June 10, 1996. The Government's Estimate is between S25000 and S100,000. (0115)
