tile flooring and re-grouting of ceramic wall and floor tile in various
shower areas of Chase Hall dormitory, located at U. S. Coast Guard
Academy, New London, CT. 06320. The Standard Industrial Classification
is identified as 1743, and the size standard is $7 million. A
mandatory contract Period of Performance has been established at 75
days. This will be a Firm Fixed Price contract. The estimated price
range is Between $25,000 and $100,000. ALL REQUESTS SHALL BE
ACCOMPANIED BY A $15.00 NON-REFUNDABLE CHECK PAYABLE TO THE U. S. COAST

(DOT) Office of Small Business and Disadvantaged Business Utilization
(OSDBU), has programs to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged
business enterprises to acquire short-term working capital and bonding
assistance for transportation-related contracts. This is applicable to
any eligable prime or subcontractor at any tier. The DOT Bonding
Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, performance and
payment bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80%
guarant on the bond amount to a surety against losses. Loans are also
available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime
interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing, The maximum
