16 -- COMMUNICATIONS UPGRADE KITS FOR THE ES-3A SOL N00019-95-G-0208 POC Contact, Stacy Bostjanick, Phone (703)604-2000 The government intends to award an order under Basic Ordering Agreement Number N00019-95-G-0208 to Lockheed Martin Aeronautical Systems (LMASC) for the purpose of systems engineering, integrated logistics support, design, engineering, and installation design required to incorporate a Carrier Airborne Inertial Navigation System (CAINS) and Electronic Flight Instruments (EFI) into the S-3B/ES-3 Viking Aircraft. These avionics upgrades will replace existing systems in the aircraft. This study will define the system design for the S-3 navigation system upgrade. LMASC performed the original design installation and integration of these systems. LMASC is the only known source with the technical capabilities to perform this task. The Naval Air Systems Command intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with LMASC, 86 South Cobb Drive, Marietta, Georgia. See note No. 22 - NAVAIR Synopsis No. 30077-96. (0116)
