Department of Interior, National Park Service, has two requirements for a contractor to provide all labor, materials and equipment necessary for (1) repowering of a vehicle with a compressed natural gas burning engine and fuel source, and (2) to purchase a compressed natural gas powered refuse hauler. The vehicle to be repowered is a 1985 GMC trash collection/impaction truck with a compressed natural gas engine and fuel system. The new compressed natural gas powered refuse hauler is a chassis truck, with cab. This vehicle, except a modified herein, shall comply with Federal Specification 749L, dated October 1, 1994, and minimum requirements. The period of performance shall be from date of award through September 30, 1995. The applicable SIC and Small Business Size Standard are 3711/1000 employees. The anticipated release date for solicitation 14-01-0001-96-R-12 will be on or after May 10, 1996.
