The Fleet & Industrial Supply Center (FISC) Norfolk Detachment Philadelphia intends to negotiate on an other than full and open competitive basis pursuant to FAR 6.302-1, ''Only One Responsible Source'', with Lucent Technologies (formerly AT&T) of Silver Spring, MD, the manufacturer of the the following components for the Lucent (AT&T) Definity G3R Telecommunications System: a) CC Plus 25AG, 1227-422, 1 ea, b) D Audix 3.2 R, 1253-DDA, 1 each, c) DA 5HR RTU 10, 1253-S10, 1 ea, d) Labor Charges - FSO, P/N 2773-LB1, 1 LO, e) Material Charges, P/N 2773-MT1, 1 LO, f) 8434 DX TRM W/Disp, P/N 3236-09B, 2 Ea, g) D Audix w/New PBX, P/N 7021-D05, 1 Ea, h) D Audix 3.2 Software, P/N 70570, 1 Ea, i) CAS/CFW Custom Rates, P/N 12055, 2 Ea, j) Paging System, 4-pair Speaker Cable, 5,000 FT, k) 8434 DX TRM W/Disp, P/N 3236-09B, 1 Ea, l) Supl Power Unit, P/N 60407, 1 Ea. Only Lucent's equipment will meet the Government's requirement, as this equipment has been designed into the Lucent (AT&T) Definity G3R Telecommunications System telecommunication system, and is the only equipment that can complete the system and meet the Government's requirement. This equipment is for use with the Lucent Definity G3R Telecommunications System telecommunication system at Fleet Combat Training Center (FCTC) Dam Neck, Virginia Beach, VA. All responsible sources may submit concise documentation as to their ability to supply the required equipment, as well as financial and technical information which shall be considered by FISC Norfolk Det Philadelphia. If no affirmative written responses advantageous to the Navy are received within fifteen (15) calendar days after publication of this notice, a request for quotation will be issued to Lucent. Note, no contract award will be made on the basis of information received to this notice. Further, the Navy will not pay for any information provided.
