Supply Schedule FSC Group 65, Part II, Section B, Medical and
Veterinary Supplies, FOB Destination in 50 States, District of
Columbia, and Puerto Rico. Indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity
type contract. Negotiated -- Multiple Awards. Small business size
standard of 500 applies. Issue date will be on or about May 13, 1996.
The contract performance period is three years, January 1, 1997, or
date of award, whichever is later, through December 31, 1999. This
solicitation will have an open season after 12 months. All contracts
under this Multiple Award Schedule solicitation will include an option
to extend the term of the contract. The option clause may be exercised
more than once, the total extension of the performance period shall not
exceed five years. The option is being exercised in the current
contracts for a three year performance period. The contract performance
period is the same as stated above. When the option to extend the
current contracts is exercised, the current contracts will be converted
to indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contracts with $100
guaranteed minimum for the option period. All current contracts are
subject to renegotiation for the extended performance period. All
contracts in effect on or after January 1, 1996, will include the
Industrial Funding Fee requirement. During this first open season of
the contract extension period, any offer received for identical items
that are equal to or lower than the current contract price will be
considered. Current contractors are also allowed to submit offers for
identical items during this first open season only. The current
contractor that has the identical item on contract will be included in
the competitive evaluation process. ANy offers for identical items
received after this first open season will be automatically rejected.
Note: Special Item Number (SIN) B-1, Antibacterial Soap, is being
deleted from this schedule, effective January 1, 1997. All
antibacterial soap will be procured under Federal Supply Schedule FSC
Group 65, Part I, Section C, SIN 622. Due to the impeding release of an
open season solicitation for that schedule, interested parties should
contact Carole O' Brien, Pharmaceutical Products Division, immediately
at (708) 786-4956. SIN B-34, Wheelchair Cushions, is being deleted
from this schedule, effective July 1, 1996. Wheelchair cushions are
being added to Federal Supply Schedule FSC Group 65, Part II, Section
F, Wheelchairs. Due to the impeding release of an open season
solicitation under that schedule, interested parties should contact
Marsha Jeffries, immediately at (708) 786-5198. SIN B-24, Custom Molded
Shoes - Over-the-Cast, is being deleted from this schedule in its
entirety, effective January 1, 1997. Custom Orthotics will no longer be
accepted under this schedule, effective January 1, 1997. See Note 12
