B -- EVALUATION OF NATIONAL HEALTH INTERVIEW SURVEY'S CAPACITY TO SERVE AS THE CORE SAMPLING FRAME FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES SURVEY CONSOLIDATION PLAN SOL 200-96-7030 POC Contact Point, Sharon Gayle, 301-436-7007, Ronald L. Atherholt, Contracting Officer The objectives of this project are to: evaluate the National Health Interview Survey (NHIS) capacity to serve as the core sampling frame in the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) Survey Consolidation Plan and to investigate several design strategies for expanding the existing NHIS sample and its sampling frame capabilities so that the reliability of NHIS core statistics would be enhanced as well as its expanding its sampling frame capabilities; and for State survey consolidation, to estimate the enhancement to the reliability of State level data from the National Immunization Survey (NIS) when combined with data from the NHIS sample for that State in a dual frame estimator; and if for the national survey consolidation additional sample had to be added for the NHIS, then to estimate the enhancement to the reliability of State level data from the National Immunization Survey when combined with data from this enhanced NHIS sample for that State in a dual frame estimator; and also to estimate the enhancement to the reliability of NHIS data when combined with the NIS sample in a dual frame estimator. The period of performance will be 24 months from date of award. The estimated release date of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is approximately 15 calendar days after this publication, and closing will be approximately 30 days after issue date.
