This is a modification to a CBD notice which appeared in the April 17, 1996 edition of the CBD announcing the Department of Energy's (DOE) intent to issue a Request for Proposal for a completion type contract to complete environmental restoration at the Mound site with the intention of transferring site ownership from DOE to the MMCIC for the purposes of minimizing economic impact to the local community. The sentence, ``Site transition activities include functions related to the transfer of ownership of the site from DOE to private ownership or the appropriate local community.''
