The Contractor shall provide operational and engineering support for the TRIDENT I (C-4) including Backfit and TRIDENT II (D-5) Fire Control Systems. Negotiations will be conducted with Lockheed Martin Defense Systems (LMDS), Pittsfield, MA. LMDS is the sole manufacturer of the FBM Fire control system and the only source with the in-depth knowledge and in-place capability to perform the required effort. See Note 22. (113)
