DASW01-96-R-0091 entitled ''Transportation Services Project''. It is a ''pilot project'' for the management of transportation services at Hunter Army Airfield, Ft. Stewart, Georgia. The overall objective is to improve the quality of life for service members and families by offering them a total relocation services service members and families by offering them a total relocation services package to include transportation of their household goods. The contractor is expected to demonstrate the maximum use of world class commercial practices. Contractor tasks may include arranging and managing the transportation household goods and providing relocation services such as homefinding assistance, mortgage services, home selling assistance, and spouse career counseling. Expected annual volume is approximately 950 relocating members. The resulting contract will be for approximately one year and up-to two 1-year options. The RFP shall be available around 31 May 96.
