The principal components of the work to be performed under these specifications include the following: Remove portions of an existing southwest dike and culverts. After removal of a portion of the dike, furnish and install precast concrete panels to form a stepped overflow structure; Breach and lower approximately 80 feet of existing road and dike along the existing access road; Lower existing northeast dike to the elevation shown on drawings. This work would also include removing approximately 40-feet of existing 36-inch culvert pipe; Furnishing and constructing a concrete by-pass structure in the existing wasteway channel; Excavation of approximately 22,400 cubic yards of moist silt material to create a terraced bottom pond; Miscellaneous excavation, backfilling, and compacting of earth materials around the stepped overflow and by-pass structures; and Furnishing and installing riprap armoring lining around the stepped overflow structure.
