Eglin AFB has a requirement to Repair Pylons Facility 700, Eglin AFB, FL. The work under this contract consists of furnishing all plant, labor, materials, and equipment, and performing all operations in connection with replacing and repairing pylons at existing fuel dock near building 700. In general, the work consists of: removal and disposal of damaged timber pile clusters, installation of two (2) each 13 pile, 55 foot timber pile clusters with cable wraps and light reflectors. All piling shall be CCA treated, suitable for marine use, rewrap cable on large pivotal cluster with matching cable, if possible, existing cable shall be reutilized. Remove and replace 2 damaged timber bumpers on concrete loading platform. Repair damaged corner of concrete loading platform (patch concrete). Contract will be for a period of 45 calendar days. Bid opening date of 28 May 96 is only an estimated date. The estimated value of the project ranges between $25,000 and $100,000. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the agency. Firms responding should indicate if they are a small business. Solicitation packages are available at a $20.00 charge. All requests must be submitted in writing.
